~~ SOUL MINISTRY ACTION GROUPS ~~
Module 1 starts Thursday, Sept. 23 at 1:00 PM (Eastern).
If you know there's a bigger vision for your business just
waiting to be birthed, Soul Ministry Action Groups are
for you.
If you feel uncomfortable "tooting your own horn," these
marketing action groups are definitely for you...
~ Do you think your work should be aligned with your
soul mission?
~ Are you ready to take your vision to the next level?
~ Could your business use a boost of energy... and a
clearer focus?
~ Do you feel it's time to make a bigger name for yourself,
but don't know how to go about it?
~ Are you willing to create a marketing plan and follow it?
Soul Ministry Action Groups are for Lightworkers and
business owners who want to make a difference. You
know your work inside and out... but may get stuck
when it comes to marketing and tooting your own horn.
Soul Ministry Action Groups meet on a teleconference
line for 90 minutes once a week for four weeks (per module)
to learn marketing theory, exchange ideas, clarify your
vision, practice marketing skills, and move your business
forward into a larger arena.
In between the group calls, you'll be assigned homework...
directly related to your own business... something you can
implement as part of your marketing plan. You'll receive
feedback from the other group participants, as a pre-test
of your marketing ideas' suitability for your market. And you'll
get a recommended list of marketing resources that will open
your eyes and give you new insights about successfully
marketing your business.
You'll feel right at home in a Soul Ministry Action Group if
you are committed to doing what it takes to implement, on a
practical level, what your soul is urging you toward in your
business. Because of the personal attention and interaction,
each group is limited to 10 participants.
Early registration is urged.

~~ A WHIRLWIND (BUSINESS) CLIMATE ~~
by Barbara Casey
Many of us in the southeast - and all the way up the coast -
have been conducting business under some pretty
difficult conditions lately.
As small and home based business owners, most of us don't
get paid for "hurricane days." Unless we have some sort of
passive income support, our business income depends on
our being "on the job" mentally, physically and emotionally.
So what do you do when faced with the choice of meeting
a client or searching the city for lumber and gas? How
"present" can you be with your clients when your mind and
emotions are somewhere in the Caribbean wondering where
Charley... Frances... and Ivan are heading next?
How do you do your best job for a paying client when
anxiety is getting the best of you?
Boarding up your home and office to make them safer
takes a little of the pressure off. Getting a "hurricane kit"
of essential supplies ready ahead of time helps, too.
Leaving town puts you physically out of harm's way (maybe).
But what about the business itself? Do you have enough
cash reserves to go for days without income? Did you
remember to back up your important files in case a power
surge fries your computer? Is a duplicate customer list
safely stored somewhere else? Do you have a backup
system for receiving customer phone calls?
Big businesses have formal disaster preparation and
recovery plans. And so should small and home based
business owners. Your plan may not be as elaborate,
but a bit of preparation before the event can save you
days of scrambling later.
Some of us have had multiple disruptions recently, and
our work may be backing up, causing yet more anxiety.
This is the time to pay attention to what your body tells
you. Stress is tough on the immune system, so you might
want to consider dropping into your local health food
store for some added nutritional boosters. When you feel
fatigued, get more rest, regardless of the length of your
"to do" list. If you can't get outside to exercise because
of the weather, do jumping jacks and situps in the living
room. Hurricanes seem to cause a lot of extra sitting
and eating, but you can work off a few calories and some
stress while you're waiting them out.
Preparing your home, business and body will help you ride
out the hurricanes of nature and the accompanying
emotional whirlwinds with greater ease.
If you add spiritual preparation to your planning list,
whether through prayer, meditation, working with angels,
inspirational music, group healing sessions - whatever
works best for you - you'll find it easier to rise above
the mass consciousness of fear and anxiety to a higher
perspective of this other, natural face of the Divine.
I figure these storms are offering up opportunities for
soul growth and a chance for me to practice what I
preach. Anxiety slides in from time to time, but faith
seems to be holding up pretty well too.
And as for preparation... I did buy plywood this time...
and backed up my computer before Ivan got to Cuba.
~~ MOTIVATIONAL TIPS ~~
The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing.
-- Steven Covey
There are two big forces at work, external and internal.
We have very little control over external forces such as
tornados, earthquakes, floods, disasters, illness and pain.
What really matters is internal force. How do I respond to
those disasters? Over that I have complete control.
-- Leo Buscaglia
Fall seven times, stand up eight.
-- Japanese Proverb
As I grow older, I pay less attention to what men say.
I just watch what they do.
-- Andrew Carnegie
Every now and then go away, have a little relaxation, for
when you come back to your work your judgment will be
surer. Go some distance away because then the work
appears smaller and more of it can be taken in at a glance
and a lack of harmony and proportion is more readily seen.
-- Leonardo Da Vinci
